Due to our cancellation we will be holding 2020 T-Shirt design submissions until next year.

T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST for Friends of the Library Bellringer Run July 4th, 2020


Entries must be received at the Library no later than NOON on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. Please mail your entry to the Library at PO Box 47, Mellen, WI 54546 or take a picture and email it to jenthewis@mellen.wislib.org                                                   


Prize: - $50 and a 2020 T-Shirt with your design

Winning design will appear on the Official 2020 T-Shirt


Contest Rules (Read all the rules carefully before starting your design)

Design must be your own original work.  You may use the computer to help create your design

but do not copy someone else’s work.  You may view clip art for ideas but do not simply print

and submit clip art.


The Shirt and design for 2020 will be Red, White and Blue (the colors of the Flag).  You pick one of those colors for the shirt and two for the design.   Do not outline in black. (Black outlines will not be accepted.)  Use Red, White and Blue only.


The following words must appear in your design:  Friends of the Library

          Bellringer Run

          July 4, 2020

          Mellen, Wisconsin (or WI)


Words may be computer generated

Spacing and location of the required words is up to the designer

Note: “Bellringer” for the Friends Race is one word


Do not sign the front of your design.  The winner will sign design before it goes to the printer.

Include the following on the BACK of your design:  Name, Address, Phone number, Email address, name of the font used if your lettering was computer generated.


Consider the following while creating your design:

The design will be printed on the front of T-Shirts, youth and adult sizes.  Will your design be clear on the area of a T-Shirt? A sample T-Shirt is at the Library and Mellen School Art Room.


Double check to make sure you followed All contest rules before submitting your entry.

The Friends of the Library reserve the right to make necessary changes.  The decision of the

Judges is final.
